Please, for the love of all that is Jalop, get a 5-lug Tacoma, not a Ridgeline.
I miss you, Sady. I don't know what possessed me to sell you last year. :'(

A single-cab, manual, small* truck? What a unicorn. Did you use it for actual truck duties and go off-roading too?
(*) By modern standards

Well, I would often put my mountain bike in the bed and take it to bike trails that were off road, but I didn't actively "off road" it. 5-lug Tacomas are 2WD and don't have very robust suspension.
It also moved me into my college dorm last year

I use a 2014 base 5-lug taco as my work truck. Manual everything and has AC. It's very nice. Unmarked too, so I may occasionally use it for non-work things :)

Mine was a 2007. Didn't they add a camera into the tailgate handle as standard for 2013 or something? Seems kinda pointless in the regular cab.
Anyway, I added intermittent wipers and cruise control to mine by swapping out the stalks. Other than that, for being 7 years old, it was "like new" in condition and feel. Not a single rattle or squeak.

You can still get a completely base taco. No camera or intermittent wipers or cc. Back up camera is standard on the new tundra though, from what I gather...

It really is a rather great looking truck. Very tempting to. I have no clue yet what I want next. Some days its a convertible. The next is a truck. Then any Volvo. Then getting something else new like an Accord or HR-V (the Fit crossover thing)
I will really consider this though.

Yeah, I can understand that, I was in the same state of mind when I was your age (sounds weird to say, I'm only a few years older...)
Anyway, IJS, if you do settle on a midsize truck, IMO the Tacoma is far and away the best, in my absolutely not biased at all opinion. Just want to point out since yesterday I have been reeling in nostalgia and quite miserable that until my Note is paid off 5 years from now, I can't get another Taco...
but if you have any questions on 2nd gen Tacomas, I still frequent the TacomaWorld forums and know a great deal about them.

That's good. That is how I would order a new one if I could, no frills. If you're ever in the Florida panhandle...I really miss my Taco. ijs.
